Avcorp Announces New President & CEO.

VANCOUVER, B.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 17, 2000

Avcorp Ind.(TSE:AVP.) Avcorp Industries Inc. (AVP on the Toronto Stock Exchange) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. John H. Nicholson as President and Chief Executive Officer, and member of the Board of Directors and will join the Company next month. Mr. Nicholson, age 44, has a proven international track record in general management with profit and loss responsibility in large and small aerospace companies. His blend of hands-on technical competency, strategic planning implementation know-how, and communication skills will be appreciated by all company stakeholders.

Born in the UK, Mr. Nicholson first graduated from Liverpool University with a B. Eng. in mechanical engineering, and then earned a Doctorate in turbine design from Oxford University before becoming a senior engineer with Rolls-Royce plc in Derby. He subsequently successfully fulfilled marketing and engineering responsibilities with Ryder System Inc. in the UK and the US, concluding as senior vice president of Aviall in Dallas, Texas, where he was the senior executive responsible for the engine services division with annual sales of US$650 million. Most recently, Mr. Nicholson was president of Cade Cenco Inc., a Company based in Minneapolis, Minnesota specializing in sophisticated aero-engine test equipment for manufacturers and airlines worldwide.
