The new agreement, which was accepted by members on Monday, March 18th, covers new ground in areas of gain sharing, pay for skill, joint committee on quality and improvement, classification definition, and benefits restructuring. The agreement also breaks new ground in covering a four year period instead of the traditional three.

The new contract was developed on the principal of an empowered work organization, representing employees and management, working within a continuous improvement environment.

Mr. Ron Palfery, Vice President and General Manager of the Aerostructures Division, said: "This represents a new direction for our Division and the workforce. A joint decision making committee will work together to increase productivity while, at the same time, increasing the skills inventory of the workforce.
