Avantas Networks Raises $12 Million in Second Round of Financing from Leading Venture Capital Firms.

. These include Vancouver-based Ventures West, Montreal-based T2C2\INFO, Innovatech and BDC (Backup Domain Controller) In a Windows NT server, a copy of the Primary Domain Controller (PDC). The BDC is periodically synchronized with the PDC. See PDC.

According to Avantas Networks president Sami Yazdi, "The investment capital will be used to fuel the company's explosive growth. The technical team has grown significantly in the last 12 months, and we are now in the process of building the necessary marketing and sales team."

Avantas Networks products address network test and service assurance instrumentation for the $20 billion Global Optical Transport Market, which includes Sonet, SDH (Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) The European counterpart to SONET. See SONET.
