Avalon Capital Group Invests in L.A. Fairchild Denim Bar to Begin Next Phase of Growth and Expansion for the Retail Company.

Former Chief Operating Officer of Pharmaca, Integrative Pharmacy, William H. Parker, to serve as President and Chief Executive Officer

SAN DIEGO -- L.A. Fairchild Denim Bar announced today that Avalon Capital Group, Inc., a wholly owned private investment company owned by Ted Waitt, co-founder of Gateway Inc., has made a significant investment in the next phase of growth of the L.A. Fairchild Denim Bar apparel company. Located in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, California the popular denim retailer, founded by fashion expert and entrepreneur Laura Ann Fairchild, has quickly become the retail epicenter for premium men's and women's denim and contemporary sportswear in San Diego and beyond.

Serving as both Chief Executive Officer and as a member of the Board of Directors of the newly expanded retailer is William H. Parker. Parker brings with him more than 35 years of experience serving in both merchandising and operating positions as either a turn around specialist or a growth and expansion executive. Former posts include President of Gateway Retail Stores, Senior Vice President of Stores and Operations for Banana Republic, Zone Vice President of Stores and Operations for Old Navy and Vice President of Home Decor for Kmart. Parker has also held additional senior merchandise and operating positions for Fortune 500 retailers. Most recently, Parker served as Chief Operating Officer of Pharmaca, Integrative Pharmacy, the first chain to combine traditional pharmacy services with conventional and complementary health products in a natural environment. Parker is tasked with leading L.A. Fairchild Denim Bar into its next period of growth and expansion.

Fairchild will remain intimately involved with the company, serving as Chief Merchandising Officer, building an inventory assortment focused on men's and women's branded denim and contemporary sportswear that furthers the company's position as the trusted fashion editor.

Julie Fairchild, co-founder of L.A. Fairchild Denim Bar, will serve as the company's Chief Administrative Officer, overseeing and executing operational activities involving human resources, real estate, marketing and business expansion.
