Availant Appoints Michael Michaud as Vice President of Engineering.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 10, 2000

Availant, a leading provider of availability management software and services that keep business-critical computer systems up and running 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, today announced it has named Michael Michaud as its new vice president of engineering.

As Vice President of Engineering, Michaud will contribute to the strategic vision of the company, while managing Availant's product development process. Michaud's responsibilities include overall direction and execution of all of the key functions of Engineering Development, Quality Assurance, Project Management, Release Engineering and Product Documentation.

Michaud brings more than 19 years of technology and engineering experience to Availant, including 12 years in software development at Lotus where he designed and delivered applications, including Lotus 123. Prior to joining Availant, Michaud held senior positions at both Platinum technology Platinum Technology Inc. was founded by Andrew Filipowski in 1987 to market and support deployment of Database Management software products and the applications enabled by database management technology and render related services.  and Scribe Software.
