Avago Technologies Recognized for Its Superior Customer Loyalty; Walker Loyalty Report Examines Customer Attitudes, Experiences and Perceptions of Semiconductor Companies Worldwide.

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Avago Technologies, the world's largest privately held semiconductor company, today announced that it has been named a Loyalty Leader by Walker Information consulting group. Avago was only one of eight firms recognized out of 53 semiconductor companies evaluated in the Walker Loyalty Report, conducted with Electronic Engineering Times (EE Times).

Nearly 1,500 respondents completed the survey which evaluated semiconductor companies based on customer attitudes, experiences and perceptions. Respondents include decision makers or influencers from original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) whose products are built around a semiconductor solution. Companies were judged across eight end-use sectors, including: automotive, computing/peripherals, consumer electronics, industrial/military, medical, mobile handsets, wired networking and wireless communications.

The report cites that the semiconductor industry's intense focus on technology development has overshadowed efforts in customer loyalty and service. Customers surveyed were less concerned about price and more on the aspects of the business relationship, such as development tools and technical support.
