Avago Technologies Delivers Gate Drive Optocouplers with Industry's Highest Common Mode Rejection (CMR) Ratio.

New Optocouplers Significantly Improve Reliability and Performance

SAN JOSE San Jose, city, United States

, Calif. -- Avago Technologies Avago Technologies is an American company which was earlier the semiconductor products division of HP and later Agilent Technologies, before being spun off into a distinct legal entity. It holds more than 2,000 patents.  today introduced three new gate drive optocouplers optimized for reliability and performance. As equipment manufacturers in industrial automation and data center power supply markets transition to developing more energy efficient products which require fast switching operation, Avago has engineered new optocouplers with the industry's highest common mode rejection (CMR CMR Crude mortality rate, see there ) ratio (40 kV/[acute accent acute accent

Glitching became controversial when multiplayer gaming became popular and glitches were exploited to give players an advantage over other  on the output as either a positive or negative pulse. This key specification guarantees the reliable transfer of drive information at very high DC-link voltage and over fast switching operations.

Avago's new ACPL-3130, ACPL-J313 and ACNW ACNW Advisory Committee on Nuclear Waste 3130 gate drive optocouplers are ideal for applications such as isolated IGBT/ MOSFET-gate drives for industrial inverters, switching power supplies (SPS (Standby Power System) A UPS system that switches to battery backup upon detection of power failure. ) and uninterruptible power supplies. The optocouplers deliver 2.5 A maximum peak output current. Additionally, the products support a wide operating voltage range (15 to 30 volts) required by gate-controlled devices.

"Avago Technologies continues to be ahead of the curve by delivering a superior optocoupler product with the industry's highest CMR ratio," said Kheng-Jam Lee, worldwide marketing manager of Avago Technologies' Optical Communication Solutions Division. "We've leveraged our technical strength in proprietary shielding technology and unique package design to deliver a timely solution for industrial applications. The addition of these products enables us to provide the broadest portfolio of high-quality, isolated gate drive optocouplers on the market."

As part of Avago's extensive range of high-performance, isolated, gate drive optocouplers, the ACPL-3130 contains a GaAs LED while the ACPL-J313 and ACNW3130 contain an AIGaAs LED. The new optocouplers have received approval in accordance with the following safety standards: UL (pending), CSA (1) (Canadian Standards Association, Toronto, Ontario, www.csa.ca) A standards-defining organization founded in 1919. It is involved in many industries, including electronics, communications and information technology.  (pending) and IEC/EN/DIN EN 60747-5-2.
