AvMed and Parent Company Announce Senior Leadership Changes; Growth, Expanding Opportunities Are Reasons for Restructuring.

AvMed, dually headquartered in Miami and Gainesville, is Florida's oldest and largest not-for-profit health plan. It provides health insurance coverage to large and small businesses in major metropolitan areas of the state, including Fort Lauderdale Fort Lauderdale (lô`dərdāl), residential, commercial, and resort city (1990 pop. 149,377), seat of Broward co., SE Fla., on the Atlantic coast; settled around a fort built (c.1837) in the Seminole War, inc. 1911. , Palm Beach, Orlando, Tampa and Jacksonville.

The leadership restructuring includes the following:

--Doug Cueny has been appointed President and Chief Operating Officer Chief Operating Officer (COO)
