Automotive.com is a portal that connects online car buyers with consumer information detailing the pricing, financing, and insurance options for new and used cars, and links these potential customers with local car dealers, large dealer groups, or directly with car manufacturers.

Teragram's linguistic tools will be used to automatically tag information from multiple data sources to ensure accurate indexing among the almost 100,000 makes, models and years on Automotive.com. This will, in turn, increase data relevance and search accuracy by putting metadata across Automotive.com's entire online platform, including articles, blogs, forums, videos and photos. Having the information tagged correctly not only helps Automotive.com's internal search engine properly index vast amounts of data, but also saves IT workers from the time-consuming process of manually tagging this information.

Automotive.com is also using Teragram's technology to provide the site's users with related queries as they search for automobiles online. When a user searches for a general term such as a "Honda," a box will appear and suggest relevant search topics such as "Honda Accord The examples and perspective in this article or section may not represent a worldwide view of the subject.

"Teragram's technologies also save my team the time consuming, error-prone effort of manually tagging this data, which is extremely important in today's ultra competitive and challenging business environment."

"Teragram's core mission is to provide technologies that help organizations better categorize their enormous amounts of data," said Dr. Yves Schabes, president and co-founder of Teragram. "We are excited to provide search and indexing technology to Automotive.com and look forward to helping their IT workers better organize information to best match customers to an appropriate vehicle."
