Automotive Supplier Continental Teves Purchases $280K Concurrent Computer Corporation Real-Time System for Driving Simulator.

Concurrent's TurboHawk(tm) to Test Brake System Controllers

Concurrent Computer Corporation (Nasdaq:CCUR) announced today that Continental Teves, a leader in safety and comfort systems to major car manufacturers, recently purchased an 8-processor TurboHawk system. The system, which includes Concurrent's PowerWorks(tm) Integrated Development Environment, will be used in the Continental Teves Auburn, Michigan development center to provide man-in-the-loop simulations. Continental Teves is currently developing advanced vehicle dynamics stability systems by integrating the driver with vehicle dynamics models, suspension models, and powertrain models.

Continental Teves ranks first in the world in the production of disk brakes and second in anti-locking brake systems. Its Electronic Stability Program (ESP), an interactive, high-tech safety system, significantly increases drivers' chances of avoiding potential crashes. By comparing the driver's intent with reality 150 times per second, the system responds faster than a human can.
