ArciTech(TM) is a new mobile workforce management Workforce Management (WFM) encompasses all the responsibilities for maintaining a productive and happy workforce. Sometimes referred to as HRMS systems, or even the larger ERP systems (Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP). There are many software vendors within this space.  package comprising software, hardware, integration and training services.

"ArciTech is an affordable, easy-to-use system that can make a dramatic difference in the performance of almost any service organization," said Mike Colwell, managing director of Intermec's Field Service Solutions Team. "Using ArciTech, service organizations can finally get accurate and reliable information about actual costs and profitability."

Based on a three-year lease, the system can cost as little as $100 per month per user, including hardware, technician (mobile client) software, and communications costs.

"Automated workforce management can improve the profitability of service organizations," said Colwell, "by decreasing call-completion time, data entry time, and paperwork. Further, automation can reduce delays inherent in paper-based systems, improving critical success factors such as customer response/satisfaction, job cost and invoice generation/cash conversion cycles."

ArciTech software works by guiding the technician, step by step, through the process of managing his schedule, tracking status changes, ordering parts, recording invoices, capturing signatures, collecting and reconciling payments and printing receipts and reports.

The software is designed for Windows CE (Windows Consumer Electronics) Microsoft's version of Windows for handheld devices and embedded systems that use x86, ARM, MIPS and SHx CPUs. Windows CE .NET superseded Windows CE 3.0. , but also runs on Windows 95/98 platforms. It operates on rugged mobile computers including the Intermec(R) 602 palm-sized and Intermec(R) 6110 hand-held units.

ArciTech can be customized in more than 20 ways to fit the business processes of the service organizations in industries such as gas and electric utilities, telecommunications, electronics, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it.
