WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 9, 1999--Profile Systems, Inc., is pleased to announce the release of an Internet interface for its ProSAIM(R) engine for automatic replenishment. Suppliers using ProSAIM(R) will now be able to allow their customers to view and/or modify the replenishment model through their web browser.

@SAIM(tm) (pronounced "at same") enhances the Supplier Assisted Inventory Management (SAIM) techniques employed in ProSAIM(R). And more trading partners will be able to participate in the replenishment process with @SAIM(tm) providing an Internet communication of daily activity without costly integration and EDI concerns.

With ProSAIM(R), suppliers and buyers work together to create replenishment rules that increase sales by maximizing end-user service levels. The ProSAIM(R) software considers desired inventory value, turn, and end-user service targets along with lead-time, seasonality, forecast and safety-stock requirements to arrive at a stocking plan that utilizes the logistical best practices of each partner.
