SAN RAFAEL, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 25, 2001

Matching Funds up to $100,000 Earmarked for Families of

Fire and Police Officials; Replacement of Software to Help

Re-establish Customers' Business Operations

Autodesk, Inc. (Nasdaq:ADSK), the world's leading design software and digital content company, announced today its corporate relief program to support the families of victims of the New York and Washington, D.C., terrorist attacks, as well as the companies whose operations were halted.

To help all affected Autodesk customers, including several architectural and engineering firms whose offices had been located in or near the World Trade Center, return to business as quickly as possible, the company will replace all Autodesk(R) software that was lost or damaged as a result of the attacks. Efforts are being coordinated with the New York City Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). Additionally, Autodesk has developed a Twin Towers Match Program, which is a special one-time employee matching program during the month of October, with the global fundraising goal of $100,000 to be paid by the company. The Twin Towers Fund was established by New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani to assist the families of the members of the uniformed services who lost their lives or were injured in the terrorist attacks.

"Two weeks ago the world changed in tragic ways, and many of our customers' businesses were affected," said Carol Bartz, Autodesk chairman and CEO. "Now is the time to unify, to come together, to help heal and rebuild."
