Autodesk Reports Quarterly and Fiscal Year Results.


SAN RAFAEL San Rafael (săn rəfĕl`), residential city (1990 pop. 48,404), seat of Marin co., W Calif., a suburb of San Francisco on the northern shore of San Francisco Bay; inc. 1913. , Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 26, 1997--Autodesk, Inc. today reported net revenues for the fourth quarter ended January January: see month.  31, 1997 of $115.0 million compared to $126.3 million for the same quarter in the previous fiscal year.

Net income for the fourth quarter was $6.0 million, or $.13 per share compared to $16.3 million, or $0.34 per share posted in the same period of the prior fiscal year.

Net revenues for the fiscal year ended January 31, 1997 were $496.7 million compared to $534.2 million for the previous fiscal year. Net income for fiscal 1997 was $41.6 million, or $0.88 per share compared to $87.8 million, or $1.76 per share in fiscal year 1996.

The company continues to move forward with its integration plans with Softdesk. This transaction will be accounted for using the purchase accounting method rather than the pooling of interests Pooling of Interests
