The Autodesk Point A web site was created and launched in the U.S. in April 2000 to provide Autodesk customers with a personal global access point to Autodesk services and information on the Internet. The site offers product tips and tutorials, online training and support, and local industry links. Since its launch, Point A has attracted 300,000 registered members. In one month alone the number of site visits increased 24 percent to a record 1.2 million visits, due in part to exclusive promotions and the availability of the Autodesk Subscription Program in North America North America, third largest continent (1990 est. pop. 365,000,000), c.9,400,000 sq mi (24,346,000 sq km), the northern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere. .
