Autodesk Donates Aid To Marin Fire Victims; Red Cross, Parks Service, Lend-A-Hand Among Recipients.

News reports have indicated that the fire has consumed thousands of acres of privately held and national park land and is not yet under complete control. At least 47 homes have been destroyed and approximately 2,000 fire fighters from across the state are struggling to bring the blaze under control.

The Autodesk grant has been distributed to the following organizations: -0-

- $5,000 to the American Red Cross American Red Cross: see Red Cross.  for the operation of a relief shelter in Pt. Reyes Station.

- $5,000 to the Marin Independent Journal's Lend-a-Hand fund which provides on-the-spot cash to fire victims.

- $5,000 to the National Park Service for their controlled-burn program which minimizes the occurrence of fires of this magnitude. -0-
