Autoclude pumps out new options. (Plant & Equipment).Designers and manufacturers of peristaltic pumps A peristaltic pump is a type of positive displacement pump used for pumping a variety of fluids. The fluid is contained within a flexible tube fitted inside a circular pump casing (though linear peristaltic pumps have been made). and peristaltic pumping systems, Autoclude have developed a new peristaltic pump that offers several innovative features, including AC or DC motor options. The low flow AC version is designed for intermittent intermittent /in·ter·mit·tent/ (-mit´ent) marked by alternating periods of activity and inactivity. in·ter·mit·tent adj. 1. Stopping and starting at intervals. 2. duty applications, making it a suitable dosing pump for chemicals, soaps, detergents and various other wash/disinfect/rinse products. Powered by a synchronous motor Synchronous motor An alternating-current (ac) motor which operates at a fixed synchronous speed proportional to the frequency of the applied ac power. with integral gearbox gear·box n. 1. See transmission. 2. A protective casing for a system of gears. gearbox Noun the metal casing enclosing a set of gears in a motor vehicle Noun 1. producing 8rpm and requiring a power supply of 230 v 50Hz, the AC pump has a total weight of 0.25kg. A quality DC motor option features precious metal brushes and spur gearbox. The pump provides a flow rate up to 260m1/min and is suitable for intermittent or continuous duty applications where chemicals and other liquids are part of the process. Weighing 0.4kg, the unit requires a power supply of 12/24 v DC 7W. Both AC and DC versions offer a standard range of tube sizes and materials allowing considerable flexibility of usage; a robust pump housing accepts tubes from 1.6mm up to 4.8mm internal diameter. Tube loading is a simple procedure, with Autoclude's novel design of rotor rotor: see generator; motor, electric. which can quickly self-feed the tube into position, avoiding the possibility of trapped fingers. The motor is available with either two or three rollers as required, and a clear polycarbonate A category of plastic materials used to make a myriad of products, including CDs and CD-ROMs. hinged protective cover with a simple retaining latch also facilitates easy tube changing. Assembled pumps are easily panel mounted as the motor/gearbox can be passed through a single hole in the panel and the pump head secured by four fixing screws from the rear of the panel.
