Vessel, usually of steel, able to withstand high temperatures and pressures. The chemical industry uses various types of autoclaves in manufacturing dyes and in other chemical reactions requiring high pressures.
for vulcanizing rubber hose features the company's patented Rapidoor vertical lift, quick-access closure and a mechanism for wheelless, external cart-loading. One unit measures 72" in diameter x 20' in length and processes rubber hose at 150 psig and 400[degrees]F. The Rapidoor, which locks and unlocks in seconds, is fabricated to meet Section VIII of ASME ASME - American Society of Mechanical Engineers  Code Requirements. Its patented mechanical safety warning interlock A device that prohibits an action from taking place.  prevents unlocking of the door while the autoclave is under pressure and delays process inception until the closure is locked securely.
