Autocam Medical is a single-source provider of complex, highly engineered components. We are a member of the Autocam group of companies, which includes 11 facilities on four continents. Our company was formed to apply Autocam's extensive precision-manufacturing expertise to Medical Device applications. MAJOR MARKETS

* Implants: Including highly polished metal-on-metal surfaces for hips, shoulders and disks, as well as complex bone plates and screws. We also make components for cardiac and other surgical procedures in compliance with FDA guidelines.

* Instruments: Instruments used in reconstructive, spine, sports medicine, trauma, arthroscopic and endoscopic procedures. Products such as drills, drill guides, taps and reamers are specialties.

* Hand Pieces: FDA-comphant components for hand pieces used in phacoemulsification, vitrectomy, orthopedic, endoscopic, and general surgical procedures.

* Components/Subassemblies: High-precision components up to less than 2mm in length for ophthalmic, diagnostic, endoscopic, cardiovascular and general surgical procedures.

SERVICES OFFERED

The Autocam Production System, which is modeled on the legendary Toyota Production System, strives to eliminate all non-value-added production costs, such as work-in-process inventory and inspection. As a result, we have been able to reduce production downtime and dramatically shorten the time it takes to convert raw material into a finished product. Rapid prototyping, concurrent engineering and shorter lead times mean faster time-to-market and lower overall costs for our customers.
