of CENTRA 2000(R) PDM Implementation

Auto-trol Technology Corporation today announced a production order for its CENTRA 2000 Product Data Management (PDM) system from Honeywell Space Systems.

Honeywell initially will implement CENTRA 2000 within the Space and Strategic Systems Operation (SASSO) located in Clearwater, Fla. Honeywell Space Systems, with operations in Clearwater, Phoenix, and Houston, designs, develops, and produces data controls, momentum controls, mechanisms, vibration isolation electronics, guidance and navigation, and control components and systems for manned and unmanned space applications.

Honeywell SASSO is implementing the CENTRA 2000 PDM system to achieve reduced program Engineering Order (EO) cycle time using workflow management and migration of web-based document management to a Y2K compliant technology. Honeywell plans to use Vaulting, View and Markup, Configuration Management, Product Structures, and Workflow, as well as CENTRAWeb(tm). The production system is made up of an initial 74 concurrent licenses to support up to 10 programs by year end and some 30 additional programs in the year 2000. Honeywell SASSO expects to expand CENTRA 2000 use to include the entire engineering organization at the Clearwater campus.
