METUCHEN, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 6, 1998--Automotive Internet Internet

Publicly accessible computer network connecting many smaller networks from around the world. It grew out of a U.S. Defense Department program called ARPANET (Advanced Research Projects Agency Network), established in 1969 with connections between computers at the
 retailing services, research firms, and Web site development consultants have joined the list of speakers in the first ever, comprehensive gathering for this fast-growing market segment.

These industry experts will present their views before a diverse group of conference attendees including the major automotive manufacturers, Internet referral companies, advertising agencies, Web developers, and a large contingent of auto dealers -- including AutoNation USA, the country's largest car dealership This article is about car dealerships. A car dealership or vehicle local distribution is a business that sells new cars and/or used cars at the retail level, based on a dealership contract with an automaker or
 group. More than 170 are registered to attend.

A total of 12 speakers will examine the state of Internet automobile retailing. Many will offer practical "how to" advice to assist car dealers and manufacturers in taking full advantage of this new marketing medium.
