The family saga is a genre of literature which chronicles the lives and doings of a family or a number of related or interconnected families over a period of time.
 author Annie Murray will talk to borough bookworms at Cradley Library on Friday from 10.30am to noon.

Her books, set in the Midlands, include Where Earth Meets Sky and Birmingham Rose. For more information contact Cradley library on 01384 812885.

Brierley Hill Brierley Hill is a town in Dudley Metropolitan Borough, West Midlands, England. It is best known as the location of the Merry Hill shopping centre on the site of the Round Oak Steelworks.  will welcome fiction writer, Elizabeth Chadwick on Friday, June 1, from 10.30am to noon.

Elizabeth will be on hand to discuss her latest novel, The Scarlet Lion, which is due to be published in July. For more information contact 01384 812685.

Both sessions are open to all and free to attend.

The Big Book Fortnight, which launched on May 15, is organised by Black Country Libraries in Partnership and hopes to encourage more residents to take up reading and make the most of their nearest library.
