Authorities find meth, stolen property during water theft investigation.

VENETA - Deputies investigating an ongoing water theft problem at a Veneta home Wednesday ended up arresting five people and seizing about an ounce of methamphetamine methamphetamine (mĕth'ămfĕt`əmēn): see amphetamine; methedrine.  as well as stolen property.

 employees shut off the water for non-payment in July and placed a lock on the line. However, the resident allegedly broke the lock and continued to use city water despite continued efforts by the city to stop the theft.

Deputies contacted the resident, Jeremy Sean Carlson, 28, and searched the house. Inside, they found property stolen from a house on Poodle poodle, popular breed of dog probably originating in Germany but generally associated with France, where it has been raised for centuries. There are three varieties, differing in size only.  Creek Road last month. They also found methamphetamine.
