In a move to stop depending on costly, cumbersome paper-based processes to deliver critical information to their domestic employee population, Boston Scientific has turned to Authoria to deliver personalized responses to employee inquiries via the Web. In doing so, Boston Scientific has enabled employees to get customized answers to their HR and benefits questions - such as "how do I add a dependent to my health insurance?" or "how do I contact our 401(k) provider?"- virtually on a 24 hours a day, seven days a week basis.

Boston Scientific Corporation will be using a phased approach to implement the Authoria product. The application will first be rolled out in a centralized call center environment, enabling Customer Service Representatives to provide domestic employees with consistent, accurate information on a regular basis. The next phase of the project will include providing employees with direct access to this same information, which they will be able to reach from their desktop workstations, or through kiosks located at their sites. Future phases may include the company's global population.
