The new office will be headed by industry veteran Rick Powles, Authoria's VP Sales, Europe and was established to serve the company's growing Global 2000 customer base from a regional level.

Today's announcement coincides with the release of Authoria HR UK Benefits, the latest addition to Authoria's rapidly expanding international HR product suite. It also follows a period of rapid growth and momentum for Authoria, highlighted by new product introductions such as Authoria eSPD(TM) and Authoria AnswerWise(TM), new customer wins, including Prudential, Boeing, and McDonald's, and partnerships with industry leaders like PeopleSoft.

Before joining Authoria, Rick Powles was Vice President, Northern Europe at RightWorks Corporation , where he defined, implemented, managed and grew that company's business operations in Northern Europe. Powles previously served as EMEA Business Director, CRM and eCommerce Applications at Oracle, where he was responsible for growing the company's CRM business from a start-up to a major European competitor with revenue growth of 700 percent over a three-year period. Prior to Oracle, Powles spent three years with Aurum Software, setting up the company's European operation and establishing Aurum as leading European CRM vendor before its acquisition by Baan. Earlier in his career, Powles served as a pilot in the RAF. Powles is a graduate of the Royal Air Force College, Henlow, and is married with two daughters.
