Authoria, Inc. Announces New Chief Financial Officer.

WALTHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 13, 2000

Authoria, Inc., the leading provider of intelligent, Web-ready knowledgebase applications that enable employers to communicate to employees via HR self-service and call centers, today announced that William G. Brown has been appointed chief financial officer.

Brown has over 18 years of financial, accounting, and management experience in both the public and private sectors. Prior to joining Authoria, Brown spent 10 years at Lightbridge, Inc., a leading provider of customer acquisition, retention and risk management solutions for the telecommunications industry. As executive vice president and a senior member of the executive team, his responsibilities included international expansion, Latin American strategy, and acquisition strategy. Brown also served as Lightbridge's chief financial officer, treasurer, and vice president of finance and administration. In this capacity, he was responsible for the company's pre-IPO and IPO efforts.

Before that, Brown was the manager of financial planning and analysis at Bolt, Beranek and Newman, Inc. (now GTE Internetworking), a provider of integrated Internet services, and was a senior auditor at Deloitte & Touche. He is a certified public accountant and holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the Boston University School of Management.
