Author on tour.A POPULAR children's author and illustrator will visit primary schools across the North East next week. As part of the Scottish Friendly Children's Book Tour, which is making its first trip south of the border, Debi Gliori, who has written award-winning fiction novels and picture books, is hoping to inspire youngsters from Sunday Sunday: see Sabbath; week. to October October: see month. 16. She will be talking about reading, writing and illustration, as well as showing pupils some of her newest work. Organised in conjunction with Seven Stories, the Centre for Children's Books, in Newcastle, the tour begins with a family event on Sunday. Jasmine jasmine (jăs`mĭn, jăz–) or jessamine (jĕs`əmĭn), any plant of the genus Jasminum of the family Oleaceae (olive family). Fassl, of the Scottish Book Trust, said: "Children across the North East are in for a fascinating visit from Debi." |
