Former Waldenbooks and Random House Executive to Lead Development of Services and Products to Help Authors Promote and Sell Their Books

Usually it refers to the issuing of printed materials, such as books, magazines, periodicals, and the like. , announced Wednesday the appointment of former Waldenbooks and Random House, Inc. executive Sheryl Stebbins as director of author marketing services. In this newly created role, Stebbins will direct the development and delivery of professional author marketing services and products designed to help authors promote and sell books. In addition, Stebbins will oversee the special recognition programs offered by ASI brand iUniverse, which include the Editor's Choice, Rising Star, and Star programs.

With Random House, Stebbins spent twelve years in various senior-level publishing and marketing roles. As publisher of the Reference/Value Group, she published seventy-five new titles annually.
