With this new offering, Notes users can control, recall and expire sensitive e-mail after it's delivered, allowing them to leverage the speed and convenience of the Internet for confidential communications. MailRecall builds on Notes inherent security features of encryption and authentication by providing users with the ability to protect, manage, recall and expire messages, in real-time. MailRecall Delivers a Unique Set of Security and Control Features for Notes Users

--Dynamic Control of Information: MailRecall lets the sender establish a policy that determines whether recipients have the right to print, copy/paste, or forward content - and recall or expire a message at any time. If the sender decides to expire the message, all copies are automatically deleted, no matter where they are located (recipient desktops, servers or back-up media). Message policies can be changed at any time, even after a message has been delivered and opened by a recipient.

--Protection for e-mail and attachments: MailRecall can encrypt both messages and attachments so users can confidently e-mail documents outside of the Notes environment that previously would have been deemed too sensitive to send over the Internet.

--Tracking of message activity: Users can see exactly what recipients do with their messages including when and how often they read or print them. All messaging activity can be tracked through its lifecycle from the Notes client.

MailRecall Seamlessly Integrates with the Notes Client

MailRecall has been tightly integrated with the Notes client to provide users with a familiar interface for protecting, managing and tracking message activity. For example, users can assign a protection policy and send a MailRecall message with one mouse-click from the Notes mail toolbar. MailRecall also preserves the user experience within Notes by supporting advanced message formatting features such as "collapsible sections." This feature lets users collapse one or more paragraphs into a single line and expand the section as necessary, allowing for the easy organization of documents that contain a lot of information.
