AuthentiDate International AG Announces Agreement With Mikromatic GmbH.

SCHENECTADY, N.Y., DUESSELDORF, Germany & WALDBRONN, Germany--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 24, 2003--AuthentiDate International AG, a wholly-owned subsidiary of AuthentiDate Holding Corp. (NASDAQ:ADAT), announced today an agreement with Mikromatic GmbH. Under the agreement Mikromatic will expand its detection software "TIFFCapture" to include the AuthentiDate Signature components. Digitized documents will receive an electronic signature that, under German law, legally and securely records the identity between the paper document and the digital copy. AuthentiDate expects utilization at the nationwide active "scan points" of the Mikromatic GmbH franchise network will provide a fast and blanketing market penetration of the newly integrated solution.

While financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed, AuthentiDate stated that revenue would be generated through recurring license fees from each installation.

TIFFCapture is scanner detection software for mid- to high-volume record documentation that is suited for all major brand document scanners. It supports all scan functions for image preparation and indexing at full scan speed and organizes the recording, control, processing, indexing and transfer of the scanned documents to predetermined storage points. Automatically qualified electronic signatures can be produced during the scan process that can be inserted into digital documents by integrating the AuthentiDate electronic Scan Signature Solution(TM).

TIFFCapture customers now have the possibility to flawlessly and legally document the interface between paper and electronic documents by adding a signature that conforms to the German Signature Law. All scan points work with TIFFCapture, which allows them to offer customers the new signature service. Marc T.
