(USB) platforms. These kits add to AuthenTec's arsenal of design-enabling solutions that will allow original device manufacturers (ODMs) and PC manufacturers (PCMs) to quickly and easily include the FingerLoc(TM) system in their products. Using the USB reference design, four ODMs: Animation Technologies, Inc., Chicony Electronics, Monterey International, and Sagatek Co., LTD LTD 1 Laron-type dwarfism 2 Leukotriene D 3 Long-term depression, see there 4. Long-term disability ., now offer the option of having AuthenTec's FingerLoc personal identification solution to their customers in integrated USB peripherals and PC keyboards IBM introduced three generations of keyboards that drove touch typists batty and continue to do so decades later. The last IBM keyboard was superseded by Microsoft's Windows keyboard, which added three keys for activating Windows functions. . These new devices will be demonstrated in the manufacturers booths at CeBIT 2000, February 24 - March 1 in Hannover, Germany.

The FingerLoc personal identification system is the first biometric fingerprint authentication solution that iss capable of working for everyone, under real world conditions. About the size of a postage stamp postage stamp, government stamp affixed to mail to indicate payment of postage. The term includes stamps printed or embossed on postcards and envelopes as well as the adhesive labels. , FingerLoc can be used in personal computer, network, and e-commerce security applications to replace the use of passwords and PINs. The Serial and USB RDK's will enable FingerLoc based solutions to be brought to market much more quickly. ODMs and PCMs will not need to devote a lot of resources to the design process since AuthenTec has provided all the necessary hardware and software to simplify integration and enable a complete solution. These new evaluation and design tools are Windows `98 and Windows 2000 compliant and come with SecureSuite(TM) demonstration software provided by AuthenTec Solution Provider Network member I/O (Input/Output) The transfer of data between the CPU and a peripheral device. Every transfer is an output from one device and an input to another. See PC input/output.

The Technology Evaluation Kits are designed for product developers who want to evaluate AuthenTec's FingerLoc sensor technology for future designs and include enrollment/validation algorithms and binaries. Software Design Kits are for independent software developers designing software products to interface with FingerLoc devices and include drivers, tools, and utilities. Reference Design Kits enable manufacturers to quickly integrate FingerLoc into their products by providing a complete hardware and software reference solution. The RDK includes source libraries, schematics, bill of materials The list of components that make up a system. For example, a bill of materials for a house would include the cement block, lumber, shingles, doors, windows, plumbing, electric, heating and so on. , board layout and a netlist. All of the new kits include a hardware platform and are now available directly from AuthenTec or through their distributors and manufacturers representatives. In addition to the evaluation and design kits AuthenTec provides complete customer design and engineering support services support services Psychology Non-health care-related ancillary services–eg, transportation, financial aid, support groups, homemaker services, respite services, and other services .

"AuthenTec is committed to giving our partners and customers with the tools they need to get to market fast, " said F. Scott Moody, president and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  at AuthenTec. "Personal security is an issue that affects everyone, and our customers realize the need to provide security-enabled products that are reliable under real-world conditions. With the Serial and USB evaluation and design tools, we provide immediate pre-tested designs and software, allowing ODMs and PCMs to avoid starting the design process from scratch, ultimately shortening their production and sales cycles."

About FingerLoc

AuthenTec's FingerLoc fingerprint authentication system The combination of authentication server and authenticator, which may be separate devices or both reside in the same unit such as an access point or network access server. The authentication server contains a database of user names, passwords and policies, and the authenticator physically  uses TruePrint(TM) technology to read below the surface of the skin to the live layer - where the true fingerprint begins. TruePrint's fingerprint acquisition technology consists of an antennae array of minute linear field geometry sensors. The sensors operate together to measure the ridges and valleys of the live layer to form an accurate digital representation of the fingerprint. AuthenTec's technology provides the only solution capable of 100 percent fingerprint acquisition clearly surpassing prior techniques that have been incapable of working for an estimated 10 to 20 percent of the population due to conditions such as worn or dry skin and the effects of aging. By looking past the skin surface a TruePrint fingerprint acquisition is also not affected by surface contamination such as cooking oils, dirt and even chalk dust.
