Austrian Mission accomplished.The Austrian Mission to the United Nations signed a 10-year lease for the entire 31st floor of L&L Acquisition's 600 Third Avenue last week. The whirlwind 13,000 s/f deal, which was brokered in little more than two weeks, rescued the Austrian Mission from a somewhat sticky situation. The sale of the Mission's current home at 823 UN Plaza, which Macklowe Properties recently acquired from the Anti-Defamation League Anti-Defamation League B’nai B’rith organization which fights anti-Semitism. "I called David and told him that I needed him to meet both me and Austrian ambassador that afternoon and show the space," Markman said. The deal at 600 Third Avenue brings the building, which L&L Acquisitions purchased in partnership with GE Asset Management in 2004 for $212 million, to almost total occupancy.
