Inet's QoS and Network Security application suites support Telekom Austria's business strategy of evolving into a high-speed, Internet protocol-based service provider and delivering advanced, multi-media services to its customers. Telekom Austria is the principal provider and market leader of telecommunications services in Austria, with international operations Internal Operations (I.O., IO or I/O) is a fictional American Intelligence Agency in Wildstorm comics. The GeoProbe QoS application suite will enable Telekom Austria to manage network activity and QoS in real-time, providing visibility into all of the carrier's Intelligent Network (IN) services. The switch-independent, real-time surveillance and centralized troubleshooting provided by the GeoProbe system will allow the carrier to pinpoint the root-cause of revenue-affecting issues, such as mobile roaming problems within Telekom Austria's or interconnecting roaming operators' networks, impending im·pend

Telekom Austria will use solutions from Inet's GeoProbe Network Security application suite to feed its fraud management system. With the GeoProbe's Programmable Content TDR TDR - time domain reflectometer (TM) application, Telekom Austria can generate information on network events in real-time. Using these almost instantaneous Transaction Detail Records (TDR) for its traditional and roaming subscribers, Telekom Austria will have the ability to detect fraudulent activity as it occurs, helping to minimize revenue losses that may result from internal, subscriber or international fraud.

"As a full service provider, we are able to offer the residential and business users of our fixed line and mobile networks advanced next-generation service," said Helmut Leopold of Telekom Austria. "The QoS solutions provided by Inet are helping us to increase utilization of our networks by supporting new advanced service."

"The GeoProbe's QoS and Network Security application suites excel in high-traffic, complex network environments," said Elie Akilian, Inet's president and chief executive officer. "The scalability and flexibility of our solutions are ideal for carriers such as Telekom Austria, whose networks are evolving to meet tomorrow's communication demands. We are pleased that Austria's leading operator has selected Inet for QoS and network security assurance."
