Austria: Alcatel-Lucent signs contracts with Deutsche Telekom affiliates.


Alcatel-Lucent today announced the signing of four agreements with affiliates of the German telecoms company Deutsche Telekom Deutsche Telekom AG (ISIN: DE0005557508, FWB: DTE, NYSE: DT, LSE: DEU, TYO: 9496 ) (abbreviated DTAG) is a telecommunications company headquartered in Bonn, Germany. The channel bandwidths needed to transmit various types of signals, using various processing schemes. Every signal observed in practice can be expressed as a sum (discrete or over a frequency continuum) of sinusoidal
 and to efficiently deliver fixed and mobile broadband data services, including mobile Internet, video and multimedia, high-speed Internet and Triple Play.

The contracts are with T-Mobile Austria, for upgrade of the existing transport network connecting Vienna, Linz, Salzburg, Innsbruck, Klagenfurt and Graz, to support 10GE and higher bandwidth per colour; T-Mobile Czech Republic, to enhance backhaul capacity and further improve service delivery efficiency; Slovak Telekom, to modernise the existing core network for service delivery and operational efficiency empowerment via automated provisioning; and with PTC (PTC, Needham, MA, www.ptc.com) Long a world leader in mechanical computer-aided design, manufacturing and engineering software, PTC, through acquisitions and reorganization, has transformed itself into a leading provider of Internet-based B2B solutions for discrete manufacturers.  Poland, to continue its network transformation and leverage enhanced backhaul capacity for high-bandwidth mobile application in a multi-vendor network environment.

Financial details of the contracts were not disclosed.

Alcatel-Lucent said that the contracts further strengthen its ties with DTAG.
