At the heart of Wavenet's rich technology is the radio modem, a device that sits between the mobile computer and the network. The modem device is an 'add-on' accessory to the Palm V family of devices and operates on DataTAC, the most widely available data network in North America North America, third largest continent (1990 est. pop. 365,000,000), c.9,400,000 sq mi (24,346,000 sq km), the northern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere.  (Motient Corporation and Bell Mobility) and Asia Pacific.

    The yambay MACH Platform

The yambay platform is an open wireless gateway designed for handheld-centric wireless carriers. Built around an open architecture, the gateway provides an infrastructure solution for operators, which will scale to support future devices such as Palm, RIM, Pocket PC and next generation protocols such as GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) The first high-speed digital data service provided by cellular carriers that used the GSM technology. GPRS added a packet-switched channel to GSM, which uses dedicated, circuit-switched channels for voice conversations. .

"The MACH Platform has generated much interest from carriers who are finding their legacy systems unable to cope with the demand for wireless handheld services," said yambay CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization.
