Australian Defence Force Selects Trend Micro Virus Protection; Solution Protects all Branches, Including the Navy, Army and Air Force.

CANBERRA, Australia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 8, 2001

Australia's Department of Defence has signed a Trend Micro VIP license agreement to protect the country's entire defence establishment including the Australian Army, Royal Australian Navy and Royal Australian Air Force.

"Virus defence across a network of this size is all about iron-clad defence and central control," said Kenny Liao, managing director of Trend Micro Australia. "Trend Micro's solution provides a multi-layered defense that can be remotely deployed, updated, and managed from a central location."

Trend Micro's VIP license agreement covers the full suite of products that guard all potential virus entry points into a network, including via floppy disks, email, Internet downloads, or file sharing across servers.

Products covered in the VIP license include:
-- Trend Virus Control System: A Web based management console that manages
virus protection software across the enterprise network.

-- InterScan Virus Wall: Virus protection and email management for Internet
gateways

-- ScanMail: Stops viruses from spreading through Lotus Notes and Exchange
environments

-- ServerProtect: The key to efficient network antivirus protection for
Novell/NT servers

-- OfficeScan: Centralized virus control for enterprise desktops

-- PC-cillin: Internet-age protection for stand-alone PCs
