Australia : Australia retailer Kathmandu IPO raises $318 mln.

Australasian outdoor equipment retailer Kathmandu Holdings set its IPO (Initial Public Offering) The first time a company offers shares of stock to the public. While not a computer term per se, many founders, employees and insiders of computer companies have found this acronym more exciting than any tech term they ever heard.  price at A$1.70 each, raising A$340 million ($318 million), the company said in a statement on Wednesday.

The IPO was marketed in an indicative price range of A$1.65-A$1.90 a share.

Private equity owners Goldman Sachs The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., or simply Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS) is one of the world's largest global investment banks. Goldman Sachs was founded in 1869, and is headquartered in the Lower Manhattan area of New York City at 85 Broad Street.  JB Were and Quadrant Private Equity sold their entire stake in the company.
