Austin Innovations signs license agreement with Timex Corp. for the INDIGLO night-light.

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 8, 1995--Austin Innovations Inc. has signed a licensing agreement with Timex Corp. to produce and market the INDIGLO(R) night-light.

The new INDIGLO night-light, like that featured in Timex branded wristwatches, is an oval-shaped nightlight set in a thin (1/4 inch) white casing that plugs into a standard wall socket. Its uniform, soft blue-green glow provides gentle, safe, energy-efficient illumination illumination, in art
illumination, in art, decoration of manuscripts and books with colored, gilded pictures, often referred to as miniatures (see miniature painting); historiated and decorated initials; and ornamental border designs.
for bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, nurseries or anywhere a nightlight may be needed.

The INDIGLO night-light uses electroluminescent See electroluminescence and EL display.  technology that provides energy efficiency and safety features. It is a high-quality, long-lasting light source that is highly efficient, and low cost (less than two cents per year to operate). It never burns out, so there are no bulbs to replace (or break).

The INDIGLO night-light is especially safe for households with children because, unlike other nightlights, the light is always cool to the touch and it fits flat against an outlet, making it difficult for small fingers to pry loose.

"We are excited about this agreement with Timex Corporation Timex Group B.V. is an American watch company. Timex's U.S. headquarters is in Middlebury, Connecticut. It has substantial operations in China, the Philippines, and India, with full-scale sales companies in Canada, the UK, France, and Mexico.  to produce the INDIGLO night-light," said Joe Marischen, president of Austin Innovations. "We've had great success with our LIMELITE(R) family of products over the past two years because the electroluminescent technology is perfect for nightlights and other safety lighting applications.

"By coupling this innovative technology with the well-known INDIGLO brand and the new design and color of this nightlight, we're expecting to create a bestseller."

"The INDIGLO night-light feature and brand has been tremendously successful for Timex Corporation and joining forces with Austin Innovations to produce and market this product is a natural extension of our brand," said Helen Prial Pri´al
