Walsh said the owners plan to "end with a bang" and have lined up some big names for the last two months in the current location. "We want as many people as possible to experience this Austin landmark."

Among the acts slated for August and September are Leon Russell, Big Brother and the Holding Company and Cross Canadian Ragweed Cross Canadian Ragweed is an alternative country band of the Red Dirt scene, formed in Yukon, Oklahoma, in 1994. Many of Austin's singer/songwriter greats such as Bob Schneider, Monte Montgomery, The Resentments, Jimmy Lefave, Toni Price and People's Choice have performed regularly at The Pier. In addition, the club has booked national acts such as Hal Ketchum, Percy Sledge and Rick Trevino.
