The new applications, representing the latest releases for ASI's TranSend(TM) family of solutions, can be deployed rapidly (9 weeks for most users) --- enabling a quicker return on investment. The new software will be available in the second quarter of this year.

The new products are: TranSend - Enterprise Edition(TM), TranSend - Professional Edition(TM), and TranSend - Standard Edition(TM). All will provide continuous operations capabilities even when the Enterprise system is unavailable, extensive tools-based application creation facilities that do not require program coding, and support for a wide variety of terminals including wireless mobile devices, MES/SCADA systems, and other production control systems, according to according to

"These new offerings launch a new, more aggressive effort by ASI to provide solutions to a growing problem for users of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) An integrated information system that serves all departments within an enterprise. "Many find that some of the advantage of implementing a robust ERP system is being lost because plant operations are not well integrated," he added. ) applications can't produce the expected advantage if they don't get timely information from the plant. This gap in the information structure also prevents engaging a company's production workers, a significant portion of the workforce, in the company's business system. TranSend connects these workers to the rest of the Enterprise. We help bring empowerment, integration, and collaboration to these workers."

TranSend - Enterprise Edition is focused on users of SAP's mySAP.com platform components and R/3. This is the third release of this successful product. It is already in use at such companies as Raytheon Aircraft, Solutia Chemical, Rapistan, International Paper, and Monsanto. New to this release are integration of wireless and other terminal devices such as the Pocket PC using Microsoft's Windows CE (Windows Consumer Electronics) Microsoft's version of Windows for handheld devices and embedded systems that use x86, ARM, MIPS and SHx CPUs. TranSend - Professional Edition is focused on companies that need to integrate their plant systems with legacy and/or multiple applications including non-SAP Enterprise applications. It provides a unique and easy approach to a complicated task. Users will be able to manage most transitional situations without extensive changes to existing applications or custom programming. In addition to enabling use of wireless and other mobile computing devices using Microsoft's Windows CE operating software, this application can simultaneously integrate with legacy applications connected to portable terminals using 3270 or 5250 terminal emulation.

TranSend - Standard Edition is focused on mid-sized businesses that need production information integrated with the company's ERP application. This application assures timely, accurate data is available to everyone using the corporate system. It enables extensive use of bar coding and printing solutions on the factory floor. This basic version of TranSend provides all of the ease of use features of the more advanced applications scaled to the requirements of the mid-range user.
