 Technology to be Offered throughout Aurora's System

VISICU, Inc., creator of the eICU(R) solution, announced today that Aurora Health Care Aurora Health Care is a not-for-profit health care system located in eastern Wisconsin and headquartered in Milwaukee. The system has 13 hospitals, over 100 clinics, and more than 140 community pharmacies. , based in Milwaukee, will become the first health system in Wisconsin to offer life-saving eICU technology to its critical-care patients. Aurora offers care in more than 80 communities throughout eastern Wisconsin. The Aurora system, which includes 14 hospitals and 100 clinics, is a nationally recognized leader in efforts to improve the quality of health care. The agreement with VISICU underscores the health system's commitment to providing the highest quality care.

The eICU solution uses high-fidelity telemedicine, Smart Alerts(R) early warning software and electronic monitoring to connect and provide off-site critical care physicians and nurses with the information needed to proactively manage ICU patients, enabling fundamental changes in hospital ICU care. Initially, Aurora will connect an eICU facility to 80 ICU beds located at St. Luke's St. Luke's or St Luke's can refer to:
