Wisconsin's Largest Health System Will Use the Lawson Applications to Consolidate Disparate Financial Systems

, Minn. -- Aurora Health Care Aurora Health Care is a not-for-profit health care system located in eastern Wisconsin and headquartered in Milwaukee. The system has 13 hospitals, over 100 clinics, and more than 140 community pharmacies.  signed a multi-suite contract with Lawson Software (Lawson Software, St. Paul, MN, www.lawson.com) A software company that specializes in ERP for vertical markets including health care, retail, public sector, professional and financial services.  (Nasdaq:LWSN) in Lawson's first quarter of fiscal 2007, which ended Aug. 31, 2006. The health system licensed Lawson Enterprise Financial Management and Business Intelligence suites to facilitate timely and accurate financial reporting. By automating its core business processes, Aurora expects to enhance its internal controls and increase operational efficiencies.

Based in Milwaukee, Wis., Aurora operates 13 hospitals with 2,935 licensed beds, in addition to approximately 100 clinic sites and more than 120 community pharmacies throughout eastern Wisconsin. Aurora has more than 25,000 employees, including 697 employed physicians.

"Lawson met our business requirements and its applications are compatible with our existing IT infrastructure. Now, we'll be able to standardize a number of complex financial processes on one system-wide platform, improving Aurora's financial reporting accuracy and efficiency."

Replacing Aurora's legacy financial system, the Lawson applications will help enforce Aurora's internal controls, standardize data for improved transaction tracking and automate many formerly paper-based processes. Aurora also plans to use Lawson Business Intelligence to create and distribute functional reports for its geographically-dispersed entities.
