Aurora Health Care Selects Carefx's Fusion Context Manager and Desktop.

Carefx(TM) Corp. today announced an agreement with Aurora Health Care (Aurora), Milwaukee, to implement Fusion Context Manager(TM) and Fusion Desktop(TM), Carefx's desktop integration solutions.

Aurora will deploy Fusion Context Manager(TM) to simplify and improve care providers' access to and utilization of online clinical information from its multi-vendor information systems.

Although the majority of Aurora's clinical information is found in Cerner Corp.'s Powerchart applications, which Aurora began deploying as their enterprise-wide computer-based patient record solution in the late 1990s, there has continued to be a need to integrate other clinical data from legacy systems and niche systems like cardiac monitoring.

Aurora initially plans to deploy both products at St. Luke's Medical Center.
