Auromar Development Corp. update ondrilling activities.VANCOUVER, B.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Auromar Development Corp. (NASDAQ:AUROF) provides the following update on its drilling activities in South Africa. As of Tuesday, March 14, 1995, the core drilling at the Schweizer property in South Africa had reached a depth of 400 meters. Within this depth, between 50 meters and 143 meters, the Kameeldoorns Formation was identified, confirming the structural uplift that was proposed by the geological model. The presence of Kameeldoorns stratigraphy strat i·graph ic (str t at such a shallow depth was encouraging. According to the geological model, the next stratigraphic sequence that would need to be identified is the Klipriviersberg Group that historically overlies the Ventersdorp Contact Reef (VCR), which is the gold-bearing reef in the Schweizer Basin. The VCR has been a significant source of the gold that has been mined in the Witwatersrand Witwatersrand (wĭtwô`tərzrănd') [Afrik.,=white water ridge] or the Rand, region, Gauteng (formerly a part of Transvaal), South Africa. The area, which forms the watershed between the Vaal and Olifants rivers, is c. Basin to date. At 143 meters the company subsequently identified the Klipriviersberg Group. Drilling continues to test for a commercially feasible gold property. Detailed technical information regarding the drilling program has been filed in Form 8-K by Auromar's joint venture partner, Casmyn Corp., with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on this date and is available under Commission File #01-14136.
