This newest member of the OSPA brings to the Alliance significant expertise in the critical area of enhanced data and voice services.

With more than 20 participating vendors, the OSPA allows carriers, application service providers (ASPs), third party independent service developers (ISDs) and telephony system software providers to rapidly develop and deliver competitive services and applications based on the Sonus Networks Open Services Architecture The Open Service Access or OSA is part of the 3rd generation mobile telecommunications network or UMTS. OSA describes how services are architected in an UMTS network.

The standards for OSA are being developed as part of the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP).
