Despite the fact that Augustine wrote several commentaries on the creation narratives, including three that constitute the last books of his Confessions, scholars have found it difficult to pin the saint down on essential questions. Independent scholar An independent scholar is anyone who works outside traditional academia in the pursuit of truth and knowledge.
