WAUCHULA, Fla., Aug. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- With the addition of another 1,000 members in the last 24 hours, Peace River Electric Cooperative (PRECO) has now restored power to 78% of its members. There are still 6,600 without power. All transmission service to the substations has been restored. PRECO expects some electric service to be restored as follows:

Myakka: South circuit is 80% complete. PRECO is working toward Clay Gulley Brandon Gulley (born October 7 1982),better known by his stage name Gulley, is an American rapper who was raised in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Music career
Gulley began his music career while deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004.
 Road. Individual service problems remain.

Wauchula: Transmission service was restored on Saturday night. All four main Wauchula circuits are hot and massive numbers of line technicians are working. Ten more line crews will join them on Monday. After Tuesday, there should only be individual service problems.

Guynn: Transmission service has been restored. PRECO has a large work force presence there now, and 17 more line crews will be added to this area on Monday. PRECO is working the north circuit toward Lily Grade. The south circuit has 42 broken poles and there are many individual service issues. This affects 416 members.

Murphy: One of the toughest areas, it may be Monday, Aug. 30 before restoration occurs. This affects 1,500 members.

Bowling Green Bowling Green.

1 City (1990 pop. 40,641), seat of Warren co., S Ky., on the Barren River; inc. 1812. It is a shipping and marketing center for an area producing tobacco, corn, livestock, and dairy items.
: Transmission services have been restored. South circuit is energized. All circuits should be restored by Wednesday, except for individual service problems.

In all other areas: Individual service problems remain.

PRECO noted that some members might lose electric power again during summer afternoon thundershowers. Those members should call immediately to report their outage.

90% of all members should be on by Wednesday, Aug. 25. All of the cooperative's headquarters and district offices have reopened today, Monday, August 23 at 8 a.m. PRECO will begin to offer daily and routine electric services on Wednesday morning, though their schedule of completion will likely be delayed.

Members should leave a light inside the house on to signal when power has been restored and the porch porch
