Augment Systems Wins GATF InterTech Technology Award for AFX 410 Storage Server System.

(SmallCap OTC: AUGS), the developer and leading innovator of Fibre Channel storage area network solutions for the Printing and Publishing industry, has been chosen to receive the 1998 InterTech Technology Award of the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (GATF) for the company's AFX 410 Storage Server System. The award will be presented to Augment at ceremonies during the 1998 GATF/NSTF Annual Meeting being held September 19 - 22 in Charleston, South Carolina.

The prestigious GATF InterTech Technology Awards were created in 1978 to honor innovative technology excellence in the graphic arts industry. The awards predict that the recipient technology will have a major impact on industry production and profitability. A special awards committee comprised of industry technical experts reviews the nominations and makes the selections. GATF also reports that 80% of the previous InterTech Technology Award recipients have proven commercially successful.

Augment uniquely applies Fibre Channel technology to create a separate, high-speed link between the AFX 410 server and client workstations that "augments" existing and emerging LAN architectures.
