Augat wins supply agreement from Optus Vision; Company's Communications Products Division to supply connectors for Australia's first commercial cable system in three major cities.

MANSFIELD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 10, 1995--Augat Inc. (NYSE:AUG) today announced that its Communications Products Division has been awarded an agreement, valued at more than $15 million, to supply Optus Vision with connector products to be used in the building of Australia's first commercial cable television (CATV) system.

The buildup of the hybrid fiber-coaxial network will encompass several major Australian cities including Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. The cable system went on-line on Sept. 20, 1995.
