Audrey Hepburn outfits up for grabs.


London, Oct 4 (ANI): Some of Audrey Hepburn's outfits, dating from 1953 to the late 1960s, are to be auctioned in the biggest-ever sale of her clothing and accessories at the Royal Opera Arcade on Pall Mall Pall Mall (pĕl mĕl, păl măl), street in the City of Westminster borough, London, England. It is the main thoroughfare of St. James's district. St. James's Palace, Marlborough House, and a number of private clubs are on Pall Mall. , London.

The collection includes more than 30 outfits worn by the screen siren with several pieces by her favourite designer, Hubert de Givenchy Count Hubert James Marcel Taffin de Givenchy (born February 21, 1927) is a French aristocrat and fashion designer who founded the The House of Givenchy in 1952. He is famous for having designed much of the personal and professional wardrobe of Audrey Hepburn, as well as clothing .

Also up for sale is a selection of belts and hats worn by Hepburn.

The close pal Kerry Taylor said: "We are very excited to have been chosen to handle this historic auction. Hardly any Audrey Hepburn clothing has come onto the market in the past and the few pieces that have went on to sell for six figures.

"Audrey Hepburn is one of the most iconic fashion figures of the 20th century and to have her collection here, to be able to handle it, catalogue and photograph it is a real privilege.
